Junior B Football Championship.

Macroom 0-09. Kilmichael 1-10.

Macroom and Kilmichael served up a very entertaining game of football in this Junior B Football Championship game played on a lovely pitch at Inchigeela on Saturday June 27^th. Macroom lead at half time by 5points to 4 points with points coming from Denis Quinlan (2), Robert Healy, Pat Farrell and Pat Kelleher one each but Macroom were unlucky to have a goal ruled out by the referee for a square ball. Kilmichael started the second half in fine fashion and hit three points on the trot to take a two point lead but Macroom responded with two points from Pat Kelleher and a point each from Denis Quinlan and Shane Dunne to lead again by two points entering the last ten minutes of the game. At this stage Macroom had lost Alan O’Shea, Cieran O’Shea and Denis Quinlan through injury and these were replace by Shane Dunne, Concubhair Murray and Tom Creedon.
