u10s

The u10s played Kilmurry at the weekend and had some excellent performances with a good win.

The squad that competed was as follows:

Ivan Rybalka, Michael Kelleher, Ultan O'Tuama, Donagh Moss, Ronan Duggan, Ben Ronan, Robbie Magee, Daniel Lucey, Bradan Morey, Ciaran Murray, Dylan O'Shea, Michael Deasy, Alex Waugh, Eoin Holland, Conor Coughlan, Tadhg O'Driscoll.


u12s

The u12s played Ballinora on Saturday 4th May in a challenge game in TCP. The Macroom lads got on top as the game wore on and ran out comfortable winners in the end with a number of players excelling. Then on Monday 06th May the u12s played A Grade league in the Castle Grounds. Macroom started well with some early scores. St. Colums cames into and took the lead towards the end of the first half however two goals right before the short whistle gave Macroom a five point lead at the break. The second half was a very even affair. The Macroom lads defended excellently and restricted St. Colums to a few points from distance and ran out winners by eight points. Final score Macroom 4-9 St. Colums 2-7. The lads have made a good start to their league campaign with two wins and one loss from their three games to date.

u16

The u16s have had a busy week with a challenge game last Thursday night v Dohenys in Dunmanway. Twenty players all got good game time but it was not the best performance of the year so far and 5/6 key players were missing.


They then played a very good Clonakilty team away in the league on Monday night with 23 players all seeing game time. It was a brave second half performance and the players battled until the end, the game was a steep learning curve but there have been plenty of promising displays.

Darragh Neville, Sam Kelleher, Brian Healy, Ben Herlihy, Barry Galvin, Robert Lucey, Daragh Kiernan, Ben O'Connell, Mark Hunt, James Slattery, Martín Sosa,  Gerry Kelleher, Jack Sexton, Sean Delacy, Ronan Morey, Dylan Wenger, Dean Granville, Robert Coleman, Dylan Molyneaux, Liam Holland, Conor Seery, Rian Coughlan, David O'Connor. Kieran Doody and Luke Aherne were unavailable through injury.


Junior B

The Junior B's continued their winning ways with a 2-16 to 4-6 victory over St. Johns in a friendly in the Castle Grounds last Friday evening. 


Cúl Camp

Golf Classic

Reminder that places in the Macroom GAA Golf Classic are filling up fast. It will be held in Macroom Golf Club on Friday 31st May.
