Weekly Report 05/11/2018   15/11/2018

Macroom GAA Report this week, November 5th 2018.

Tues. Oct. 30th   saw the final curtain called on juvenile playing activities for the year. The young footballers played two street leagues – one ‘senior’, one ‘junior’ in the Castle Grounds. Despite poor weather, more than 80 boys took part and had a great time. Afterwards Eileen Oldham presented the Thady Oldham Cup; Colman Corrigan spoke well and presented the trophies. We thank all who were involved in the organisation of the event.

David Murnane refereed the recent Senior Football County Final between St Finbarr’s and Duhallow. We congratulate him and his team on an excellent job. Enda Kiernan, Castleview, was coach to the successful St Finbarr’s side. David was also in charge of yesterday’s Munster Senior Football club quarter-final.

John Ryan officiated at the Premier Intermediate Football County Final and he had a fine match. We congratulate him and his team on equally impressive performances. John was also in charge of the Munster Intermediate quarter-final in Kilrush yesterday.

The Annual adult AGM will take place on Friday Nov 30th in the Pavilion, Castle Grounds, Macroom at 8.00 p.m. Please attend if possible.

We congratulate Kilnamartyra Intermediates on their brilliant first county victory
