Macroom U14 Report on League Final 2015   03/11/2015

Ballincollig was the venue for the 2015 U14A League final between Macroom and Fr O’Neills.
Macroom won the throw in and launched their agenda for the day clocking up 2:01 in the first five minutes with no response from Fr O’Neills. Macroom showed their strength for the rest of the first half totally dominating in all areas of the pitch. At half time the score stood Macroom 3:05 Fr O’Neills 0:03.
Fr O’Neills put in a rejuvenated performance at the start of the second half and showed some fighting spirit however the Macroom backs who had been brilliant all day halted every attack. Macroom again took charge of the game and despite Fr O’Neill getting a soft consolation goal it was too little too late for them on the day. Full time Macroom 3:09 Fr O’Neills 1:06.
It was a superb performance from a brilliant panel who now have U12 & U14 League winners medals. Watch out for them for future titles.
