The u6s played four ten minute games with Clondrohid last Saturday morning in the Castle Grounds. The morning was fine and bright and the pitch was like a carpet. All the games were played in great spirit , lots of skill, effort and teamwork on both sides.
Both teams and mentors got together in the pavilion after the games and great thanks must go to the parents for supplying baking. The u6s are showing super progress since the start of the season.
The squad that played was:

The lads also played Clondrohid in the Castle Grounds Saturday morning with 21 players togged out in fabulous conditions in both weather and surface. They played two games of 20 mins each and great skill and team work was shown. A big thanks to all parents for organising after match refreshments in the pavilion.

Premier Intermediates:
The Premier Intermediates played Mallow at home last Sunday in Division 2 of the County Football League and lost out on a scoreline of Mallow 0-11 Macroom 0-10.
The team that lined out was:
Brendan O'Connell, James O'Connor, Paul O'Farrell, Ger Angland, Sean McMahon (0-1), Rory Buckley, Michael Cronin, Caleb Dineen, Fintan Goold (0-2), Tony Dineen, Ethan O'Gorman (0-1) , John Murphy, Conor O'Sullivan (0-3), Pa Lucey, (0-3), Dylan Twomey. Subs Used Eolan O'Leary, Don Creedon.
The Intermediates now face Newcestown again in the league this Friday night at 7:15pm in the Castle Grounds and your support would be greatly appreciated.
Golf Classic:
This Friday the annual Macroom GAA Golf Classic takes place in Macroom Golf Club and a fantastic day is in prospect with a huge entry of teams which is a testament to the trojan work done by the organising committee which the club would like to say a huge thank you to. Also a huge thanks to all sponsors in particular main sponsor Ciaran Ryan Plant hire and Haulage. Prize Giving ceremony will take place at 9pm on Friday night and all members are welcome to show up and support what is always an enjoyable evening.
