U-14 Premier 1 League match report

Macroom welcomed Carrigaline to the Castle Grounds on a drizzly evening. The home team started fast and kept the pressure on the visitors throughout the first half, building a commanding lead of 4-10 to no score at half time. As expected Carrigaline looked to get back into the game at the start of the second half, but a dogged Macroom soaked up the pressure and defended superbly and were unlucky not to get the first score of the half as the Carrigaline keeper took off a brilliant save. Macroom pushed on and ran out convincing winners, keeping the tempo up to the final whistle. An excellent performance by all.
