County Committee Meeting
Tuesday September 10th
The Chairperson welcomed members of the All-Ireland Minor Football winning team and management to the meeting, with the manager Bobbie O’Dwyer addressing delegates. The Chairperson expressed her thanks to everyone involved in Cork’s inter-county teams this year, players and backroom staff and all involved in any supporting role.
The Coaching Officer, Ronan Dwane, gave an update to meeting regarding the success of development squads as outlined in the progress report.
The Runaí reported that the outgoing U20 management team was not seeking reappointment, and the Chairperson advised the meeting that the Executive had extended the brief of its appointments sub-committee to include U20. She also noted the recent appointment of Aidan O’Connell as High Performance Manager and wished him well with his new role, which would commence in early October.
Delegates were informed that the County Board offices had moved to Páirc Uí Chaoimh since the last meeting, and that the pitch replacement was on schedule and progressing well, with the target for re-opening still the opening rounds of the Allianz Leagues. Stadium accounts had been approved by the stadium board and filed with the CRO, and would be presented to County Board at a later date.
Delegates were updated in relation to proposed changes to bye-laws, which would be voted on at the next County Board meeting on October 1st, which would include a special convention for this purpose.
Cultural Officer Richard Murphy informed delegates that the stadium would be part of Culture Night on September 20th, while the Development Officer announced a stewards training day on Saturday, November 9th.
The meeting concluded with votes of sympathy.
